Happy Apple Farm is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and is a quality-driven operation. Each plant is grown using organic media and fertilizers. We do not use herbicides or pesticides. Unless otherwise noted the plants are all started from certified organic seed and all are free of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs.) We take pride in the quality of our starts and products.
And, as the farm name suggests, we have apples (Gravenstein.) They are generally ready (we pick) in late July to mid-August. They make great sauce and pies.
We also grow vegetables and herbs in the fields and hoop house and sell fresh cuttings/pickings. This year we will be selling larger quantities when they are ready (we’ll let you know) and not on a weekly basis. Pick up will be at the farm unless other arrangements are made. If you have special requests or needs let us know.
To Order Starts
The hardened plants (acclimated to the outdoors) will be available for pick up at the farm, or mutually agreed site, on specific dates by appointment only.
Cost is $3 for all plants in 3-4-inch pots. Tomatoes can also be ordered in 6-inch pots and those will be $4 each. Lettuce plants can be purchased in six-packs, which are six small plants in one six-cell container for $4. Flats of starts are available on a case-by-case basis. (please indicate on order form if you want tomatoes in 6-inch pots and if you want lettuce in six-packs)
We always strive to meet your planting needs so let us know if you have any specific requests. We also welcome questions about growing our starts and will help you if we can.
